Thursday Happy Hour in the Financial District

Thursday is fast approaching and it happens to also be my favourite day of the week! Why? Not only is it pay day but it is also a locals night out. Everyone has had a long hard day at work and we cannot wait until Friday to start festivities. This is very encouraged by the many Thursday happy hour deals that are found across the financial district. If your office is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, here are some of my favourite restaurants after work.
CIBO Wine Bar
522 King Street W.
Toronto, ON
M5V 1L7

Every Thursday from 4pm to 7pm CIBO offers half priced wine. I didn’t believe it to be true but a colleague took me there after work and 6 bottles later, I realized how much I love this restaurant. Not only did they serve good wine but their meals are delicious. Take a look at their menu at www.cibowinebar.com. As I like cream based pasta, I chose the carbonara pasta. Simple, yet, I was still impressed.
Going off topic, but if you are looking for a place that serves wine during happy hour, this is one that I would highly suggest.
The Shore Club
155 Wellington Street W.
Toronto, ON
M5V 3H1

Located right beside the Ritz Carlton, one of my first favourite happy hour restaurants in Toronto is the Shore Club. From 4pm to 7pm the Shore Club offers:
$1 oysters.
$5 beer (usually sapporo).
$7 wine.
On a regular night, the Shore Club can be quite expensive. So if you are looking just for a taste of what the restaurant offers, this is the perfect deal. If you are craving oysters and are looking for quantity, this is the place to try at a reasonable price.
Pai
18 Duncan Street W.
Toronto, ON
M5H 3G8

Pai is a local favourite and is one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to, and I am not just talking about the food. Pai is just walking distance from my office and therefore, when looking to relax after work, this is one of our favourite summer spots.
The beverage that our group orders the most are the 4 point plays. This is actually offered at anytime you go, but it is a favourite if you are a fan of sake bombs. For $17, you can buy 4 shots of nama nama sake bombs mixed with delirium.
Earls Kitchen & Bar
150 King Street W.
Toronto, ON
M5H 3T9

What originally brought me to this restaurant was their outdoor patio, but I quickly learned about some of the happy hour deals they have. From 2pm-6pm a large number of their appetizers are a few dollars off and their drink special on a Thursday night are Frozen White Peach Bellini’s and Old Fashions.
I may be bias because this restaurant is right beside my office, but every time I go there, I have always had a great time with colleagues and friends.
Pravda
44 Wellington Street E.
Toronto, ON
M5E 1C7

This is a very classy looking place but don’t be fooled. The large amounts of vodka selection available can make your Friday morning a tough one. From 4pm-7pm the bar has $6 Martini’s that you can try with a variety of vodkas to choose from.
It is a lot quieter than the other restaurants I suggested as it is further east from the financial district, but if you are looking to have a decent conversation with a friend, this is another great place to be. However, if you stay until 10pm, it will be a completely different story as a DJ starts playing live and the dinner crowd start walking in.
These are my top 5 happy hour restaurants in Toronto but what are yours? I would love to add it to the list! Please write a comment in the box below or message us personally for feedback. See you on Thursday.
